5. Holy crap! She busted up with you on V-day?

The only decent reason I can see for that is a noble one: that she didn't want you to spend money on her. But somehow, that doesn't add up either. Breaking up on V-Day is mean.

My dad's mom died on a feb 12 and was buried on a V-day many decades ago. We grew up with a quiet day of reflection for VD.

I took her out that night, spent a good amount of money on her, took her home, kissed her, then she called me back, saying she was breaking up with me.
