19. I'm a Jets fan in the NHL, BTW.
Edited on Fri Feb-11-05 11:36 PM by SmileyBoy
My city is technichally closer to Winnipeg than the Twin Cities, and I never liked the Wild (dumb, stupid name). If they named them the Voyageurs back in 1998 like I wanted them to, I would've been a huge fan. When I was a kid, they'd show a lot of the Jets games on cable down here, and I grew attached to them. I could've been a North Stars fan back in the day, but I liked the Jets better. And technically, I was supposed to (215 miles to WPG, 235 miles to MSP).

I do not think the University should have to let him teach if he is going to make an ass out of himself

I am not in favor of persecuting him, but I do not think that his free speech rights make it nessecary for him to be a teacher. If the University believes he is disruptive and immature, they have every right to stop letting him teach classes.
Since he is tenured, the University should have to honor their contract with him---they have to pay him, but don't need to give him students.

53. yep. Legitimate critiscms are forgotten
and then Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter will repeat these outlandish comments for people to hear and read....by using these quotes over and over, they will get some people to feel like this is the general opinion within the Democratic Party. They do it again and again---whenever a Liberal says something dumb, to keep repeating it. Hannity especially. He will put even intelligent comments, like some Teddy Kennedy made about the need to remove occupation forces from Iraq sooner rather than later, out of context and say that he feels "American soldiers are the problem", when that is clearly not what Kennedy said.

Ward Churchill is an embarrasment. His ignorant and mean comments are offensive. In fact, I am pretty sick of ignorant comparisons with Nazi Germany, just like I am sick with the right trying to potray liberals as either moonbats or traitors or hard core communists or anti-Christian extremists
