1. Embarrassing, yes...but it kicks ass if you're a product of the '80s.
...and I am.

2. First Barenaked Ladies album.
So shoot me - I saw them at an outdoor festival in their very early days, was with a girlfriend, we were charmed, we bought it. Haven't listened to it since, except maybe once.

16. You mean En Vogue - Funky Divas: Great CD
Free Your Mind

I wear tight clothing, high heeled shoes
It doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute, no no
I like rap music, wear hip hop clothes
That doesn't mean that I'm out sellin' dope no no
Oh my forgive me for having straight hair, no
It doesn't mean there's another blood in my heir yeah yeah

I might date another race or color
It doesn't mean I don't like my strong black brothers.
Why oh why must it be this way
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said

Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow.
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow

So I'm a sistah
Buy things with cash
That really doesn't mean that all my credit's bad, oooh
So why dispute me and waste my time
Because you really think the price is high for me
I can't look without being watched, and oh
You rang my buy before I made up my mind, OW!

Oh now attitude, why even bother
I can't change your mind, you can't change my color
Why oh why must it be this way?
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow…
Why oh why must it be this way?
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow
FREE YOUR MIND!

Finally gave it away I think. I like them. They weren't your ordinary hair band, although they were a hair band for sure. I hate admitting this, btw. I'm a punk fan. I'm supposed to be cooler than that. <shrug>

20. Oh, it's real, all right.
Be afraid... be very afraid! Boone covers metal hits, including "Smoke on the Water," "Wind Cries Mary," "Love Hurts," "Crazy Train" and many more!

14. Twisted Sister, "Stay Hungry"

What makes it even more embarrassing was that I was a HUGE fan of the band at the time -- although I'll qualify that by explaining that a big part of the reason I loved them so much was because everyone else I knew loathed them (in retrospect, rightly so).

Today, I don't bother to listen to that album even out of nostalgia, even though I do like to go back and revisit other '80s metal bands (particularly Priest and Maiden) and even other TS songs on other albums they made for that matter.

"Afternoon Delight"

Yep. I owned it.

Yours can't be more embarrassing that that. If you don't tell us, I'm going to print all the lyrics to "Muskrat Love" and you'll be humming the damned thing all day long. Yeah, I know that it was a Captain and Tenille song, but I'll do it anyway because I am...

I found it on the bargain table at Woolworth's in the Early '70s for a buck. I still have it.
