2. DNA is easy...
...it's shit like doing complementation tests to see if the gene is cis dominant...maping out genes based on %contransduction...
Did I mention I also have the worst test anxiety like, ever? I blank out. I sweat bullets.
Once I make it thru this class, it's smooth sailing. Then I can take the cool bio classes- virology, bacteria physiology...shit like that.

Do you know the difference between genotype and phenotype? Can you perform a monohybrid cross? If so, test your knowledge of Mendelian genetics. To take the Genetics Quiz, simply click on the "Start The Game" button below and select the correct answer for each question

http://biology.about.com/library/weekly/aa012904a.htm

if you want to find more quiz's just google genetics quiz you'll find tons of web site's that will give you practice. I do it for all my test and it does help.

7. What does it cover?
the Hardy-Weinberg equation manipulations always throw me. somehow, they can take a population
718 AA...29Aa...9aa
and manipulate it so that they find out what the population is SUPPOSED to be, and refigure the new population as 729AA...21Aa...6aa. This is to me like saying:
2x3=6, but 6/3= 1.5
I just don't get it.

11. Really? I kind of miss it.
After 10 years away from the bench it's funny what you miss. I swear I'd almost run a Southern Blot just for the "fun" of it these days. Or make a phage library or sequence something..wait, I must be delirious, better go lay down.
