Okay, I find this interesting. At work today, I overheard two women talking about Amber Frey's book. One of them was saying how she admired her for going to the cops about Scott Peterson but the other pointed out that she wasn't really that "nice" a person because she had slept with Scott on the first date.

That got me thinking - do you realize that even now in this supposedly sexually enlightened age, people still phrase it like that? SHE slept with him on the first date. Not "he slept with her". In other words, she's the bad one because she slept with him. It's obvious from the phrasing.

I don't know if I find that so much interesting as disgusting but there you go.
