11. Join the club.
I flush the urinal handle with my foot.
I use a paper towel to turn the sink faucet on and off.
The towel I use to dry my hands, I also use to open the door.

Sorry, but I have seen FAR too many guys I work with that finish their business and stride right out without even looking at the sink.

It's not the cleanliness of my body I'm worried about, it's the cleanliness of THEIRS.

I have found out from a microbiologist that GERMS WILL NOT LIVE once they contact metal. Period. Once the germs off yer hands hit that chrome faucet handle or whatever, they die.

He tells me that the worst trend in bathrooms at present is going to the textured faucet stuff that is resin or plastic. That stuff does NOT kill germs.

Also high on his list of hates is antibacterial soap, which he says merely selects the strongest bacteria to survive and come back to get us.

I dunno, that's what he says...heh...

I have a coworker who will NOT do his thing until he cleans the toilet seat. He uses a paper towel to touch everything, and carries it out the door with him to dispose of in his trash can at his cube!

THAT

is anal. Heh.

39. Metal kills germs?
Hadn't heard that before. Look what this site (http://www.securityworld.com/library/health/germwar.html) says:

* The urinal handle, faucet, or doorknob in a men's restroom

Wash your hands, and use a paper towel to shut off the faucet and open the door.

Tada! I follow their recommended procedure. :)

40. Anal
One of my friends from high school started having major bladder infections when we were juniors due to his childhood phobia of using any bathrooms besides the one at his house. He not only wouldn't use public bathrooms, but when he was a kid and would visit friends or relatives (even when staying overnight with them) he would just not go to the bathroom rather than use their facilities! By high school he would use public bathrooms, but would do things like your coworker (giving the toilet seat a complete wipedown, putting toilet tissue squares around the rim of the toilet before sitting down). Needless to say, the most anal person I've ever known...

I use a clean towel to turn off the sink and then open the door. I hold the door open with my foot while I toss the towel in the trash. People who don't wash are just plain nasty.

My own observations are that about half don't wash up afterward. There has even been a survey showing a third SAY they don't.

and I am appalled that so many people DON'T wash their hands. Sitting in a public restroom occasinally gives you a pretty good idea.

20. No.
if just pee-ing, i use my foot to flush.

THE WORST THING TO TOUCH ARE THE "C-SHAPED" DOOR OPENERS..

I try to use a paper towel, or shirt bottom, or if i absolutely must grab it i grab the lower part of handle.

25. when i get up in the morning, i take a nice hot shower...
Edited on Thu Feb-10-05 02:55 PM by LiberallyInclined
and then i towel off, and put on nice clean underwear, and then a pair of pants.
when i leave the house, i get in my car, handle money at the drive-thru, then stop to put gas in the car...self-serve. after i park the car, i might handle a number of doorknobs to get to where i'm going...

taking this into consideration, by the time i get to the washroom, i think i should wash my hands BEFORE touching my nice clean penis that has been safely tucked away beneath two layers of protective clothing all morning.

BTW- why do you wash your hands after going to the bathroom..? Do you have a problem with pissing on your hands, or something?
weren't you ever properly toilet-trained?

46. All I can say, is that public washrooms are much less hazardous for men
I clean the toilet see (top and bottom) prior to sitting down. Yes, this is necessary. You'd be amazed how women can manage to get moisture everywhere! Don't even get me started on the awful 1-ply used in most public washrooms.

I avoid public washrooms whenever possible. Yuck.

You guys also have a much easier time in the woods. Life is so unfair.

26. before and after
no 'sitting' either, i hover. flush w/ foot. use paper to open, close, doors and faucets. use paper to touch anything. use paper towel to open door as i leave. i notice more people are doing this because now there is a trash can placed near the door.

ever watch "monk" on USA network? well, i'm 'ms. monk'.

(don't even ask me about using a 'virgin' pencil...that would be a pencil straight from the box.

something's working...i haven't had a cold in years!!

every time you smell some else's fart- in an elevator, on a bus, at the movies, whatever...
it means that a molecule that was just inside someone else's hairy ass has entered your nostril, and is tickling your brain.
