1. I normally do
80/50 is my usual, but blood pressure is pretty flexible. Last week I was at 150/90

3. Interesting! Last week mine was 151/90 too! And I couldn't give blood
a few years ago b/c mine was too low. The doc suggested I should change my diet, and all I can think of that's bad is the steady diet of lousy news out of this administration...

But healthy, as a runner.

5. I do exercise a lot, because I am a chronic overeater
LOL, I found out pretty quickly dieting was not for me. Foot pounding stuff too because I can't do anything boring. Does that contribute to low blood pressure? I feel tired all the time but I chalk that up to crazy work hours and no regular sleep schedule.

8. A strong heart can contrinute to low blood pressure.
It means your heart does not have to work that hard to get the blood where it needs to go. You have clean arteries too, most likely. I an a runner (not a jogger) and the best side effect is that on the weekends, I have little or no portion control. I eat and eat and eat, because I know it is just oign to get burned off the next week anyway. Why drink light beer when you need the carbs anyway?

Of course, low blood pressure can be bad, too. If you doctor measures it and tells you that you are healthy, you are good to go.

6. I went to the doctor a couple days ago and my was 100/62.
I thought mine was low but didn't think it was that low!

My 33 year old hubby had a heart attack back in December and had to have emergency double bypass so we keep track of all that stuff now.

10. I do
At rest, mine drops to about 80/60. When I asked my doctor if this was a problem, he said "not as long as it doesn't drop to 0/0, no."
John
Having had two heart attacks, low blood pressure probably beats the hell out of the alternative.

11. Yep...Always have
I scared the crap out of them after I had my hysterectomy. My normal low, running along with the anesthesia was insane. I don't remember how low it was, just that it was low enough that they felt the need to give me something to bring it back up some. After that, they were checking my vitals every 30 minutes, and each time it was someone different. They kept running for my nurse, even though I told them that I normally run low.

Freaks me out too though...I'm always stressing, and a very tense person most of the time...makes no sense to me!
