I've lugged 30+ bags of junk to the thrift store
In the last couple of months, I've been sorting through my family's stuff in preparation for our move overseas. How on earth did we ever get so much junk???? Ok, it isn't all junk, most of those bags were clothes the girls grew out of, but still.

I have gone a little crazy throwing things out, but my kids and my husband have rescued a few things. My daughters were ok with me getting rid of Eyore and Piglet, but my husband wasn't. They are now sitting on my bed.

3. Eyeore and piglet were heading for the thrift store,
not the dump! I'm not heartless! Just fed up with wading through toys the girls drag out but don't really play with....

2. Funny thing, we are in the process of throwing things out also...
For every three things I throw out, hubby pulls one back out. He is the one who can't stand the mess in the first place. Go figure. And then it always ends up to be a slam against his family in his eyes...i.e. "didn't my mom give you this?" Sigh...it's going to be a long process here. As for the toys (nasty mommy that I am) I cart them all out to the dustbin while my son is sleeping...Shame on me...

4. My husband is an awful packrat
I have to throw out old clothes one at a time while he's gone... and he has been known to check out the trash can just to make sure there's nothing in it he can bring back in. If it's too old and yucky, I simply tear it or cut it up with scissors and then put it in the trash.

I tell all of them over and over that we can't take this stuff with us and we won't miss it, but it doesn't go over very well.
