Cool pic of my brother and nephew's b-day cake
My brother and nephew have birthdays on either side of the Super Bowl...so instead of GOPisEvil's SB party I was at home having a football/b-day party. I made cake (well, my mom helped too). :) But I did the decorations. GO ME! :) It was too cute not to share.

2. Yup...poor little guy
We did a very similar cake for his 2nd birthday and he just can't quite seem to score fast enough to get ahead of his daddy. :)

4. I was just waiting on somebody to say that...
I'm glad the Pats were good to ya. I was rooting for them and my nephew had picked them in the game. That litle brat...he went 9-2 picking games in the playoffs. :)

11. Mean boy
In the Cowboys' defense...it was only halftime when we opened presents and had cake. :) My nephew is convinced they mounted a comeback for the ages. :P

13. Well...
Edited on Mon Feb-07-05 02:34 PM by VelmaD
I baked the cake on Saturday night...took less than an hour and it was made from scratch. Wrapped it and let it sit overnight. On Sunday morning early my momma got up and made the chocolate frosting and iced the cake and put it in the fridge. Probably took about a half hour at most.

Then about 1:30 Sunday afternoon I got up and made the decorator icing in all the fun colors. It probably took about an hour to make all the different colors and get them on the cake and make it look right.

The most time-consuming part was last week when I was running all over Austin looking for the little pastic football guys. :)

16. I make a cake almost like this, but I use Hershey's kisses for the
players and the striped kisses for the refs with licorice as the goal posts. I got it out of a magazine a couple of years ago.

Good job Velma! Very cute. :hi:
