I just drove 3000 kilometers, ask me anything
Ahkanten wanted to go to Vancouver to see his folks so we drove from 'dreadful valley' up to Yellowhead trail, through Jasper, then over through BC until we hit the Coquitlam trail, then into Vancouver.

After a guided tour of the city and hitting Wreck Beach (http://www.wreckbeach.org/wb_frames.html - click the picture in the frame) (my pictures late tonight) we dropped by a nursing home to visit my great aunt, bought some organ and recorder music at a music store, then on the ferry to Victoria, went to Mass, visited a priest, then drove around the shore and up into the mountains and over to Nanaimo, then another ferry back to Vancouver, then down the southern route to Lethbridge and up through Calgary then up 22 to get back to 'dreadful valley'.

Obviously, I couldn't drive it in one day. We stopped several times to camp.

Highlights of the trip:

  • Witnessed a horrific (non-injury) car crash in Vancouver
  • almost hit two deer at 100 km/h missing each by about 1 foot
  • camped by a mountain stream
  • Ank found a pot dealer in Victoria after looking for 10 minutes
  • baby mountain goats
  • 145 km/h down the side of a mountain (brakes, what brakes?)

9. Wine Bags?
Are those bags in boxes like the ones getting common in Europe as well (bought a few in Cahor last year; seemed like a sacrilegious way to store that fantastic, underrated wine to me) ? Or literally bags?

And freezer? I hope we're talking white wine here ;-) ?

10. No, not freezer
Cooler here means Thermos camping thingie to keep things cool. I also borrowed a 12-volt powered cooler for the car.

The wine was an acceptable Canadian white. I can't remember what because the label got soaked and fell off.
