3. Is it just where I live
or are supermarket delis phasing out a lot of the old-time "cold cuts"? I used to be able to get a few different kinds of salami, bologna, mortadella, olive loaf, liver sausage, etc. that they would slice for you, but now its mostly just ham, turkey, roast beef, corned beef. Everything else (what selection they do have) comes prepackaged and isn't the same quality.

Or do I just not know where to shop?

5. veggie Spam? No way! I've never seen it!
Man, that would be a dream come true. Not that I like SPam, really, but just knowing I live in a country where they can make a vegetarian version of a meat no one really likes anyway makes me feel good. Now all those animals (whatever kind they are) don't have to die only to remain preserved like jelly or mummies for perpetuity. Now they can rest assured with the knowledge that they have died to inspire someone to make a vegetarian version that can rest preserved beside them on the shelves forever.

Must be comforting.

The other good thing is that I can now participate in Spam-arama, which I assumed was closed to vegetarians. It's an AUstin thing, you wouldn't understand. Kind of like Eeyore's Birthday. But I digress.
