1. Try the Ft. Walton, Destin Florida area. The beaches are quartz and
often rated the most beautiful white quartz in the world.

Corpus Christi TX last summer and the sand was great but the water was dirt grey.

13. Hmm. When I was in CC years back, the water was dirty-green.
Did they have a dye-job and not tell anybody?

6. Heh, clean ocean water is what I was referring to.
Actually, the water's okay, but some of the beaches are nasty.

7. I was there 22 years ago
There was nothing there at the time that I would describe as clear and white.

Somebody elsee said it earlier; go to Destin Florida. Great beach. Exactly what you're looking for.

9. Biloxi
Has crystal clear water, but medicore sand. I think some of the Casino's/Hotels have imported some sand in the last few years, but don't know for sure.

Unless your a big gambler, go to Pensecola. You can take a day and go to the cansions (about an hour) but still have great beaches. The Casino's are more like Vegas than a riverboat, so you have shows and other attractions. MS has more gambling space than any state other than Nevada.

10. I'm from Mississippi and I won't go out on our beaches...However
if you're staying there, there are beautiful beaches very close by in Gulf Shores Alabama.

I go to Biloxi all the time, and it's a great place, but "clear ocean water" is not what it's known for. It has white sand because every year they truck it in and put down new sand. Lots of casinos. The George Ohr museum and a lively art community. Good fishing if you want to charter a boat. A nice area, obviously I enjoy it very much, but if you are looking for clear blue Tulum, Mexico water you would be disappointed.

I hope you will consider visiting anyway. You will likely have a blast especially if you like to do a little gambling from time to time.

On Edit-- the Casinos did not create the sand beaches of Biloxi. I don't know when the city fathers first started putting down a sand beach, but they were already doing it in the 1970s.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
