Sapporo Snow Festival....... is this amazing or what!?

3. I used to live right outside Sapporo as a kid

we went to the amazing snow festivals every year.

It snowed like crazy there - snow covered the ground from about November through April.

4. Were you there for the 72 Olympics?

Before or after your time?

5. yeah! I was there and went to some of the events!

Don't remember much except the high jump ski event, and the announcer reading off the names of the participating countries.

Sapporo was a GREAT place to be a kid, BTW.

6. I even remember Wojtech Fortuna of Poland won that event

I got hooked on sports from that Olympics :)
