nice "perk" to my new liquor store
I knew I'd found heaven today when I walked into the large new Specs by my residence and saw Little Tykes children's carts! Woohoo, somebody has done their research and knows how much today's mamas need a stiff shot o' something before these godawful suburban playgroups. Here's a big :toast: to whomever came up with that one!

2. I've always thought
a bottle of booze would make the perfect baby shower gift. And after having two kids, it's been confirmed.

4. No kidding!
Altho, I'd wait until after the kid was born. No sense in waving forbidden fruit in front of the poor woman. We had a bottle of chilled champagne that we planned on bringing to the hospital for kid #1... unfortunately, kid came on her own schedule and we didn't have time to go home and get it. But it's cool that the hospital would have had no problems with that.

7. Mrs. t's doc put her on a salt-free diet
when she was pregnant with Leigh.
After our daughter was born, I was leaving to get a few hours of sleep.
"Anything you need?"
"I need a Margarita with lots of salt."
That's what I brought back to her.
And that's why she still
luuuuuuuuuuuvs me.
;-)

8. After my first was born
I asked my wife what she wanted me to bring to her in the hospital. She said, "A couple ice cold bottles of Guiness Stout." And that's exactly what I brought her. It's actually supposed to be good for getting the milk flowing, doctor's say.

3. *LOL*
That reminds me of annecdote.

My friend L.P. had a 4 year-old that was suffering the ill-effects of allergies, complicated by asthma. He'd been up and down for days, alternately crying, wanting attention. -Just generally exhausting poor L.P. whose maternal instincts were quickly wearing to a frazzle.

So when hubby George started waving around a bottle of bourbon and talking about how his 'momma' always solved his colds and sniffles with a hot toddy, L.P. grabbed the bottle and said "Great idea."

Whereupon she poured herself 2 fingers and sucked 'em down in one gulp.
