Smacked down a Repube today (Re: SOTU)

Well my teacher wanted us to come up with responses to three points Shrub made in his SOTU. I knew everyone else would come in with just a few general things...so I came in with three pages of numbers, statistics, and facts refuting like 10 things he said, all cited. }(

I brought up the gang statements Bush said. I said "Bush said 'Tonight I propose a three-year initiative to help organizations keep young people out of gangs,' but last year he proposed a 40% cut in federal juvenile crime prevention funds, and a 44% reduction in overall anti-gang funds since 2002."

Him: "So your saying that it's like a total 180-degree turnaround or something?"
Me: "Yes, precisely."

No response.

3. I was listening to a repeat of an interview by Randi Rhodes

of Bill Clinton today. He mentioned how they can have their opinions and we can have our opinions, but you can't dispute FACTS.

We've gotta keep hitting them with the facts - then watch their heads explode - yahoo!
