Would you date a woman who drove a minivan?

I was thinking about getting another car (used likely, nothing major) with my divorce settlement, but in talking/negotiating with Mr. Belle, I think I may just pay off the last year of payments and keep the minivan, while he takes on another loan (we have a second vehicle, but it's crappy and on it's last leg anyway). Kind of good for me economically because I'll pay less than half of what it's worth really.

It's not like I ever would (or could) pretend I'm not a mom, but it feels so uncool to be single and drive one of these things. Oh well.
People have to like me for who I am, but it makes a humorous poll nonetheless. :D

Nissan Quest or Honda Odyssey: maybe.

Toyota Sienna, Ford Windstar, or Dodge/Chrysler Minivan/Caravan/Voyager: less so.

Actually, we tended to prefer Japanese cars in the past, so we priced the Hondas when we were looking 4 years ago and they were just too darned pricey. I haven't had any problems though.

Years ago, I had a Triumph Spitfire convertable...which everyone tried to convince me NOT to buy.

2 seater. hard top. bright blue. stick.

I had such a ball in that little sports car! It was so much fun being single tooling around in that little babe. And, the guys loved it, too.

You have enough to worry about when you go through a divorce. Would you really want to date a guy who was so superficial that your vehicle would determine your date-worthiness?
Some guys are concerned about how financially secure a woman is, though. Not getting yourself overextended financially by getting a new vehicle will probably more important in terms of being attractive to practical, not superficial, guys.

Hoping to get of mine before this summer, but it's been good (for the most part) on several road trips (aside from blowing out the transmission crossing the Rockies - that was a $1000 repair bill I could have done without)

Not that having kids is bad, but I'm not one who would go willingly into a dating scene with a woman who had kids.

Granted, whether you have kids or not is gonna come up (hopefully) pretty soon in the relationship, minivan or not, so it's somewhat of a moot point. But I would be very unlikely to even approach a woman first if I knew she had a minivan.

It may be unfair of me, I don't know. But when I see a minivan, I think "mom".
