My technophobic parents just bought themselves a Dish

I about passed out when I heard about that one.

This is the same couple who couldn't figure out the internet and had to be dragged kicking & screaming to upgrade their 1998 analog cell phone.

But they were fed up with the rising costs of Comcast. I guess I'll have to catch up to the 'rents in technology!

What channels they are getting, if they can handle it, if they get good reception, if they are happy. How much are they saving with the dish?

6. On Dish Its at least $20 per month cheaper...

SBC phone is $20 per month cheaper
but the internet SBC DSL is $29 per month cheaper..

Plus Comcast charges me $5 for the modem (per month!) rental
plus $5 each for their stupid boxes

So I figure $89 cheaper overall... Plus Comcast gives two bills... All SBC/Dish will be on one bill.

Their cable bill was just upped to $50+tax
