1. That's gonna run like a bag of crap on any computer without a kick-ass

graphics card and beefy processor!

Isn't Microsoft doing something similar in Longhorn? "Avalon," I think they call it, whereby they use the GPU in the graphics card to power elements of the desktop. What some poor sap is supposed to do who doesn't have a brand new computer is anybody's guess.

Apple already does this with OS X. It makes sense and you don't need a terribly powerful video card to pull it off.
