1. Pronounced "Cue-in"?
Seems a little pretentious, but oh well.

7. It will be his great grandmother's maiden name
Hey if Uncle Bill hadn't decided to be a priest, we would have someone to pass down that name but no he had to have a calling, being silly, its all cool that he was a priest.

29. I don't know how you feel
BUT after a lifetime of spelling and pronouncing my name I would never do that to a child. Being different is good but give the child a name that at least a few people in the world have.

Serry...........It is "Sherry" w/o the H!

16. ditto on the middle name
not that giving creative first names is a bad thing, but ones with pronunciation problems, I would leave for the middle name. Just my 2 cents.

22. The litmus test: See what it rhymes with.
And any other wordplay you can think of.

I'd read a story of some parents who wanted to name their baby girl something that couldn't be mocked, and they finally settled on "Amber".

When introduced to her older brother, he said, "Hi, Amberger!"

So be careful!:scared:

26. And Rob Morrow's daughter is named "Tu"
Is that right? I read that the other day.

I would use "Keown" as a middle name, not as a first name, as it might be too difficult for stupid people to handle. Why not "John" as a first name?

you *have* to go to this webpage and read the top, then click on one of the links below it.

Pretty funny about how people obsess over baby names:

I like the name Keown, but it will be one the kid will have to spell. But you know what? No matter what you name a kid, somebody will try to make him/ her feel bad about it.

45. A lovely Irish name
Any child could be proud of it. There's "Kilmeny of the Orchard," by Lucy Maud Montgomery, another Irish name. I like this much better. And have you seen the names they're giving children, these days? There was one in the local paper, Spyder, a little boy. Poor kid. And my mother mentioned another that she saw, Jaxon. WTF? Your child, boy or girl, would be blessed with such a lovely and thoughtful name.:-)
