4. i know, definitely one of, if not the best actor out there
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 08:43 PM by pres2032
I thought it was fitting that he played God in Bruce Almighty and the only reason that's not on the list is because his role was relatively minor. Though when he was on screen, he was awsome!

7. I am actually hoping for Jamie Foxx to win this Oscar
because I think Leo should win the best actor oscar. But if Morgan Freeman won this one no arguments from me. He was outstanding as well.

15. Foxx is going to win Best Actor
But I really think Freeman will win Supp. Actor. It seems like his time and MDB has momentum on its side.

16. I think Foxx is going to split himself...
if he walks with Best Actor it will have been a squeaker.
Not that we'll know...

2. Shawshank Redemption.
When I looked at this list I realized that there is not one movie he's been in that is equal to his talents. He's huge!!!

20. Totally agree on Glory. I'm having trouble integrating Seven
as a real experience due to the horror it engendered. The saving grace was the use of Southern California countryside as the setting for the last seen when the city locale was clearly back East. Sends a shiver.

3. Although I wanted to vote for "Shawshank Redemption,"
I voted for "MDB" because he was so amazing in that and I wanted to recognize it. He's just dynamite.

13. Yep..and Raul Julia was on Sesame Street. Boy!That was a looong time ago
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 08:59 PM by BrklynLiberal
He was Easy Reader!!!!
Excellent description of his voice.
He was also in that movie about South Africa, about the white boy who taught the black people to read. "The Power of One" I think. The kid wrote a song that became an anthem, I think.

On Edit: Forgot about "Driving Miss Daisy" Gosh,. it so hard to pin down just one movie. He is just so great. He makes every movie he is in into a great movie.

14. That's why I liked Deep Impact over Armageddon
it had a more realistic or rather emotional take on the subject of an Astroid hitting the Earth.

24. Isn't that the truth.
I was so surprised when I saw this on video. I kept thinking, "why wasn't this hailed as one of the best movies of all time?" I felt as if I had stumbled across it.

22. I just watched Se7en Saturday
The alternate ending was Freeman's character, Somerset, shoots John Doe himself so Mills wouldn't have to to spare him from Jail. Glad they went with the downer ending.

Also R. Lee Ermey originally auditioned to be the killer, playing it as a fanatical southern baptist. I think that would've been cool.
