Poll question: Best DeNiro movie?
Probably my favorite actor.

"You talkin' to me?"

1. While a case could be made for nearly all those choices
his performance in Raging DeNiro is absolutely top notch acting.

2. I voted for Godfather II myself
It is the best movie he was in, but his best performance I think is Raging Bull. Taxi Driver is right behind but I appreciate the character arc more in Raging Bull.

3. That's a tough one, cuz he's great in everything
I chose "Goodfellas" because it's my all-time favorite movie, and of course he's great in it. I also loved his performances in "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull." Also "Mean Streets," which wasn't on the list--that's a great early DeNiro performance in a great early Scorcese film. (It was actually my favorite all-time film until "Goodfellas" came out.)

4. How can you pick??
I did however pick Taxi Driver.
BTW, I met Bobby in 1999< that's what he asked me call him> and talked with him for an hour or so. He is a VERY
polite and gracious person.

ok, I'll stop braggig now~ :)

6. Damn, I like every one of those

I recently watched Analyze This and Analyze That just to cheer myself up.

He's been in a lot of good ones, and has been the bright spot in a few dull ones.

I particularly enjoyed The King of Comedy because DeNiro and Sandra Bernhard were so crazy, and Jerry Lewis played a taciturn straight role.

8. AngelHeart, though Untouchables and Night and the City
Angel Heart was my favorite movie he was in, but I thought his performances in the Untouchables and Night and the City, while both average films, were some of his best work. Odd, hu?

10. Raging Bull, without a doubt, in my mind, anyway...
There are some stellar movies on that list, but Raging Bull is a masterful piece of filmmaking, and he was brilliant in it.

11. He's pretty damn good in Casino...
You can't beat the Pesci/DeNiro thing. Goodfellas is also a classic, just wanted to weigh in with Casino.

12. Jacknife
A neglected, hardly seen three-character drama with Ed Harris and Kathy Baker. All three leads turn in strong performances.
