2. Those are pretty cool houses!

I've been in a few (I am a Realtor). Unfortunately, they are difficult to sell. I've seen them last 2 years on the market.

They're also very quick to assemble and an exceedingly efficient use of overall volume/space.

However, due to all the angles, they are quite prone to having leaky roofs -- and the cost to replace and/or repair such a roof is far higher than normal.

Secondly, it's often difficult to divide the dome's space into anything really usable. The angles make it hard to arrange interior walls and furniture.

As Louis-T commented, they're difficult to sell -- and when my spouse and I were house-shopping back in '98, our own realtor said the same thing. "You may find that place attractive, but you'd best not plan on trying to sell it in a hurry later on."
