What a completely bizarre electoral map? The blue states I assume are for the losing candidate, red states for the winner, and the gray states were either undecided (Louisiana) or too small to see (the NE), or not illustrated (Alaska and Hawai'i).

This is the electoral map that's produced. It's unclear which party the main characters belong to, and this electoral map just muddies the waters, and is like I said, completely bizzare.

Cool, but how do you know Shaw was a Democrat? I thought the film left it pretty much open...

4. The site I made the map on defaults red=dem, blue=gop

I thought that it was pretty aparent though that Arther and Shaw were Democrats. You'll remember that Senator Shaw (mom) was berating Arther's team urging him to choose her war hero son so they don't look weak on defense, and doubting that he could win his home state of Nebraska. That sounds (to me) like they're portraying Arther and Shaw as Dems, but you're right, it could be the other way around.
