Has anybody here seen Hank?
A Waterboys classic from 1988:

I ain't here to do any business
I got nobody special to thank
I'm trying to find
A friend of mine
Has anybody here seen Hank?

Well he's sure to be wearing a Stetson
He's as long and as thin as a plank
He's got a fistful of charm
And a gun beneath his arm
Has anybody here seen Hank?

Now he ain't in the back of a limo
And he ain't in his bed
He ain't in jail
he ain't out on bail
He ain't getting out of his head

I don't care what he did with his women
I don't care what he did when he drank
I want to hear just one note
From his lonesome old throat
Has anybody here seen Hank?

Has anybody here, has anybody here
Has anybody here seen Hank?

2. No, but MrG and I have seen his son 6 times, and I saw him once
without him. That last one was dissapointing. He played for about a half hour then left with Kid Rock. He used to play for hours. We have also seen his grandson. That was a real kicker. He opened with country and then ended with acid rock. He looks and sounds like his grandpa...when he's singing country that is. ;)

5. I used to like Jr. back in the 70's and 80's
Songs like "Family Tradition", duets with Ray Charles and John Lee Hooker... But then he caught the freeper disease, ugh! Sad, really. Saw him in 1988 and it was a decent show.

Hank III is cool.. and he DOES sound eerily like his grandfather. Hope he stays away from politics, which his Dad should have too.

Hank Sr. is worth looking into, he has TWO boxed sets worthy of recognition. I think of his music as blues with a twang.

9. *Self Righteous* Wait a second...
is it really bad protocol to try to thread jack a thread that is mocking one's own thread in the first place???? Oh..and.. Cheese sauce does not make broccoli any better!
