Deadwood anxiously awaiting new shows in March
Is anyone else here a fan of the HBO series Deadwood? I just started watching it last month when they were reruning the first season and am hooked. IT's got everything, writing, great acting nice look to it. My wife isn't a huge fan due to the high cussing content but I still have to watch. any other fans out there?

5. quick question then
the last episode I saw was when they started the smallpox camp. Is that the last episode of the season? Just a yes or no answer. My dad ruined a very big moment in the show for me when he casually mentionned Hickock being shot in the show. I was pissed, since I hadn't seen that one yet.

I still don't know everyones names. Like the two guys doing the hardware store, what's their names?

6. Its a true story. Wild Bill Hickok was killed in Deadwood.
He was playing poker and a man came up behind him and shot him in the back of the head.

He had his back to the door.

4. When Carnivale ends
Didn't get into Deadwood last year, but I simply refuse to miss an episode of Carnivale. Best opening sequence in the history of television :)

HBO - good people.

7. trying to watch that one too
but I only saw the last two episodes of the first season. The beginning is pretty sweet. my wife was quizzing me on why I llike Carnivale and I couldn't really explain it. The look and subject matter for the most part

8. I like both shows
"Carnivale" is such a trip. This weeks's episode had rural freaks that make Larry and the Darryls look like preppies in comparison.

Speaking of Larry and the Darryls, I love it that the guy who played Larry plays such a weasel on "Deadwood". The casting of both shows is really good.

10. I agree about the casting on all HBO shows actually
I did notice something kinda cool about the cast of Carnivale. Quite a few of them were also in the made for HBO movie The Laramie Project (it was on Monday am and I naturally sat and watched the whole thing....bawled like a baby).

13. agreeed
just got direct tv last month with hbo and cinemax free for three months and was going to get rid of them after the freebie was up but I think I'm going to keep hbo. The original series alone are worth the price of admission. cocksuckers
