Computer related question
I keep trying to play an online game, but when it starts to load, I get this message about a 'dgs error'. Does anyone know what this means? Any help would be appreciated!

1. Please elaborate on the error, but I think
it's a DirectX problem.

I assume you're using Windows. Which version of Windows (95, 98, Me, NT, 2000 Pro, XP Home, XP Pro)

I'd download the latest hardware drivers for your computer along with DirectX 9.

2. I have Windows XP
The game was working fine until they updated the version. It's a Flash game and I have all of the latest plugins. That's different from Direct X right?
There's not much more to tell about it, really. I click on the game to load it, it tries to load, then I get the message, 'dgs error: could not load the game'. It's very frustrating!

3. Flash is definitely different
They updated the game or did you install a new version version of Flash player (or did Flash install itself)?

Can you revert to a previous version of Flash?

Do you run the game from within Internet Explorer? (Flash player is a separate program called on by Internet Explorer) This one's a long-shot, but have you tried updating the Internet Explorer browser software?

4. They updated the game
I downloaded an update for Flash yesterday. The problem started before that though. It is run from IE6, which is the latest version, right? I think I'll try the Direct X and see how that works.

7. Is it possible to download an earlier version of the game?
They might have archives... The new version could contain a bug as well. Do keep checking their websites for further updates.

5. Direct X
Do you by any chance have a link to the site to download the update?

6. Go to Microsoft's web site
Then click on the Downloads page and do a search for directx. But it might be one of the top 10 downloads.

Also get all the updates for IE6. That might help.

Also re-download the game, clean out your Temporarily Internet Files, system temp files, and cookies, et cetera.
