A Sign That You're a Huge Political Junkie

One of the signs that you're a huge political junkie is when you start having dreams about politicians. In my dream, there was this huge auditorium, and all members of Congress were in that auditorium. One of the Congressional speakers talked about the legislative budget agenda, and then she broke for a ten minute break. In that ten minute break, Barbara Boxer strode onto stage, and cheers erupted from young legislative staffers and about half of the Democratic politicians stood up to cheer her. The rest stayed seated in their seats, and the silence from them was telling. As for me, I was up cheering with the legislative staffers for Barbara Boxer.

1. In one of my dreams right after the election,

I was crying broken-heartedly for my country. John Kerry was there, and he hugged me like I was a little child with a scabbed knee, and he told me everything would be alright. I woke up with a really peaceful feeling.

This from a woman who's not too far from 50 years old.
