Poll question: Are you clumsy?
I know this is very irrelevant but i am one clumsy nut case. Earlier tonite while leaning on my chair I hit this door on my desk and it kind of broke. I also was bleeding a bit on my armpit, have marks on my back, and am in pain. I am so clumsy guys, its so funny it hurts.
Again I know irrelevant but if you had a bad day and need someone to laugh at I am your guy.

1. What did you say?
I missed it because I just tripped over something, bruised my knee, and fell on my ass.

(yes, two left feet)

5. When I was little
my parents started getting funny looks from the people at the naval hospital for the frequency of our visits...I was eventually *prescribed* ballet at age 4 in hopes of improving my coordination. :D

I'm happy to report it worked, to an extent, although I'm still the only person I know who's broken their wrist after falling over while doing...nothing. Just one minute standing, next, pile of bones on the ground! I'm unhappy to report I think I have passed along the clumsy gene to my chillins, they're total klutzbags! :P

Surprisingly, I am not. My hand eye coordination was honed by years of Nintendo and my general motor skills by years of playing various sports.

I feel for ya dude, hope you get well soon.

11. Oh god, yes!
I concentrate on walking around things often, to make sure I don't trip on stuff. At the gym, for example. You might think I am being deliberate and careful, but no, I am trying not to fall down, or get tangled in a weight rack, bump into someone, etc... I think some of it is weight related, but I was not born graceful.

I also have a bad habit of finding the nearest hidden broken thing, ie. when we go out, I pull out drawers, or wiggle poles and things (to see if they are loose :dunce: ) Invariably these things break or try to fall out or off. My son is the same way. I just like to fiddle with things, I guess.

I hope you mend, though. :)

13. you bet I am ...
I walked into my classroom tonight and found some of my students moving chairs out of the way. They were worried I might trip on them during the lecture, since I tend to space out a bit when I'm talking ...

16. Yes, John, I am very clumsy.
I also bruise easily. I currently have a large bruise on my arm where the car door shut on it because someone spoke to me while I was getting out. This sort of thing happens to me all the time!

I always have bruises somewhere. Arnica gel is something you can use for them, providing that the skin isn't broken, Thanks for reminding me!:-)

25. I neglected to tell you what happened to me when I was a junior
in high school. I broke my foot in gym class while running in place. I kid you not. I was on crutches in the wintertime which was a nightmare. My friends said I should tell people I did it skiing! I was at boarding school and got into trouble for not attending some classes, but I just could not crutch that far!:-(

One time I fell on a slippery sidewalk. It was on a hill and I slid, crutches and all, knocking down all the girls walking in front of me like so many bowling pins! It's lucky I didn't break something else!:D

I was once interviewed by a new doctor. He wanted to know my health history and asked if I had ever broken anything. I told him yes, that I had broken both arms and my foot. He wanted to know if I had been in an accident! I told him no, that they were all separate incidents! LOL!:7

So there, John, who's the clumsy one now!:hi:

32. I guess you have stronger bones than I do, John!
I broke both of my arms, falling down stairs, on two separate occasions! The right one was when I was seven; the left one was when I was twenty-seven! I always thought I would improve when I grew up! And yes, pain hurts, whether you break anything or not. I always knew we were kindred spirits! LOL!:hi:

23. I can type 85 words per minute on a good day.
I can remember the names of all the Presidents of the U.S.

I had ten years of piano lessons and was pretty good when I quit, as a teenager.

I've driven a manual transmission for almost twenty years and had no stick-shift related accidents -- and I've only managed to go through one clutch in at least 300,000 miles of driving.

I cannot walk in a straight line across a room in my home, where I've lived for about five years, without contracting several bruises between my ankles and my shins.

I'd love to blame it on four cats and a small dog, or on my packrat spouse, but the truth is I've always been that way, ever since I was a kid, no matter how much hand-eye coordination stuff I tried to master.
