1. I'm in NJ...
right now it is 8 degrees with wind, it feels like 0! Tomorrow my area is supposed to get the brunt of the storm, we are expecting 12-15 inches. So yeah I'm staying inside for a few days

11. lol! Sounds like fun! I did that in a park in queens growing up, sans
the jack daniel. Behind my house is a short hill that all the neighborhood kids use.

Cold tonight (10 degrees) but no snow yet. Latest guess is 12-15 inches.

Edited to adjust forecast from 6-8 to 12-15. Eek!

12. Yikes! Depending on the track of the storm, that means I will either get
either 6 inches or 2 feet!!!! Yikes!!!

BTW...I call Brookyln the old country. Everyone in my immediate family but myself was born there. I'm from the new country, Queens. :)

10. it IS really cold, but you know what is really weird?
i have lived in three different apartments in manhattan since 2000. (i'm touring the world, right here in manhattan, first puerto rico - spanish harlem, then two different neighborhoods in the dominican republic. i can't afford to live in an english speaking neighborhood.)

anyway, all three apartment buildings had/have radiator heat (included in the rent and there is no way to control it, it is either on or off, decided by management).

it is 11 degrees right now, and I HAVE THE DAMN WINDOW OPEN!!! the heat can be almost suffocating.

that is the most bizarre thing i have ever experienced. none of the apartments i have lived in have EVER been cold, even during the worst/coldest weather.

is that weird, or what?
