Disgusting Freeper vehicle sighting today
While waiting for the bus, I observed a car passing by with one American flag, two yellow ribbons (one of which was tied to the top of the flag), no less than THREE "support the troops" magnetic ribbons and one of those godforsaken "W04" stickers. BAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRF!!!

1. Saw something even worse the other day
Humongo giant SUV/Hummer type vehicle plastered with anti-Democratic stickers, including "Flush the Johns" and a bunch of others.

3. Still cheaper than providing actual support
Let's see: a flag, two yellow ribbons, three magnetic ribbons and a W sticker. Five bucks? Ten bucks? Obligation to "support" the troops fully discharged!

{Bell dings, "Absolved" card dispensed from the High Church of Pseudo-Patriotism}

4. Cheaper than going to fight in W's invasion, too
Those who shout the loudest are just the ones who are trying the hardest to absolve their barely-buried guilt.

5. Politically incorrect but here goes
"Dumb Blonde" type "Soccer Mom" in Hummer interviewed by TV news at a gas station (when we were paying 2.29 a gallon out here) said ----

"I drive a Hummer to show my support for our troops."

:puke:

6. WTF!
I hope she makes sure to point that out in the note that goes with the non-existent care package she sends to the troops in Iraq. I'm sure they would love to know how she is supporting them by driving a vehicle with such shitty gas mileage.

What a moran.

7. Well, my worst sighting today was unpolitical
Just a black-clad man (no helmet either) riding a bicycle without any lights or reflectors attached in the middle lane of the Alexanderplatz/Karl Marx Allee junction (which is a 10x10 lane high-speed junction in the center of Berlin).

(here -expect normally there is traffic - lots of traffic).

8. Write down the license #, find the address, write him a note asking
when he's going to sign up.

I nearly did the same for a 50 year old lady in a wheelchair whose van was chock-full of, uh, bush-a-rific stickers.

Give me a just war and I'll fight on the just side. Give me a phony war and don't expect me to do anything. Unless I believe it's real.

10. Do people not realize how much those ribbons (especially the cammo
ones that aren't in the least bit yellow, or symbolic of troop support) are beginning to resemble the swastika to many of us?

14. Actually saw a different one today... red with yellow
with the USMC emblem on it. They are branching out.

Glad to see you feeling better, it would be even better if I were feeling you myself, but Mr. Grumpy might get mad.
