2. Well, based on one of those online IQ tests, mine is 131.
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 06:54 PM by terrya
But I take that with a grain of salt. I've never had a standardized IQ test.

10. Mine has dropped about 80 points
since my daughter entered her teens. It is amazing how stupid I have become.

On a field trip last year to the Richmond, VA Holocaust Museum, (which is extraordinary, by the way), I was discussing with the obviously liberal tour guide the similarities between the Patriot Act and the conformity of the germans during WWII. Very general, no specifics, just 'hope it doesn't go too far, stuff', and my daughter said to me "Mom, don't try to act all smart".

Nice, huh? I think she would prefer if I were drooling in the corner wearing depends. (No offense to those who are)

11. Do not feel bad...when children enter their teen years parents become
automatically either bozos or bozetts... This was told to me by my son's and my counselor...so it is to be EXPECTED! They will know EVERYTHING under the sun till they either mature or have children of their own, which is an automatic maturation process! :hi:

12. LOL
There is some quote about that by Mark Twain I think, it says something along the lines about how stupid his old man was when he was 17 and then how he was amazed how much the old guy had learned in four years when he turned 21.

It is disheartening though. The only thing she really listens to me about is politics, because, I fear, she thinks I would hurt her if she sprouted RW talking points. J/K.

14. "IQ" is about as meaningful as "astrological sign."
The concept has acquired a religious meaning I suppose, but it's more or less meaningless.

It has less to do with your intelligence, and more with your test taking abilities.

Although I did very much enjoy the spawn of IQ threads earlier. :D

37. You mean the song by the Starland Vocal Band?
Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
Gonna grab some afternoon delight
My motto's always been 'when it's right, it's right'
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day
And we know the night is always gonna be there any way

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting
Sky rockets in flight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling
A little afternoon delight
Sky rockets in flight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight

Please be waiting for me, baby, when I come around
We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting
Sky rockets in flight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight
Afternoon delight

Afternoon delight!

Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 12:00 AM by Az
Don't put so much value in it. One of the most compassionate and intuitive of other people's thinking I ever knew was intellectually an idiot. There is much more to the mind than simple intellectual agility.

39. I took a battery of tests for a state vocational rehab evaluation
It was quite a few years ago, and I don't put a lot of stock in the results since I don't have any idea what standard they used. But since you asked, I guess I can brag a bit (taking it with a LARGE grain of salt)-- my "officially recorded" IQ is supposedly 143.

Go figure. I don't believe it for a second myself.
