I had a head on collision with a coworker
She suddenly walked out of another room and I whacked my head on the big box that she was carrying. My nose and head still hurt (this was only about an hour ago) but my nose didn't bleed. Why do I injure myself in such stupid ways?

1. Give it a few days - you'll have a black eye
The night before I was to leave for my parents house where I was going to the local airport to fly out to Acapulco, I bashed my nose into the side of my bedroom door. (there was luggage all over my living room floor and I tripped on a suitcase and smacked into the door).

I thought I was ok when the next morning I woke up and everything looked fine. A day later at my parents house, my step-sister wanted to know why my left eye was all black&blue. Sometimes these things take a few days to set in.

It was just 'lovely' going on a vacation with a black eye :eyes:

5. I didn't file a claim
I know that I should have officially reported the accident. I will tomarrow. I know that sometimes the real signs of injuries do not show up until later.

3. I hurt myself all by myself.
This morning I was attempting to cut a loose thread off my sweater and cut a chunk out of my thumb in the process. Bleed all over my sweater and everything.
