Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 10:24 AM by fleabert

I made them just for y'all, from scratch, and I am very proud. I am a very vain cookie maker. ;-P

the darker ones have chocolate mixed in them!

I had to share with the whole class or Mr. Skinner might give me detention!

(seriously, I have eaten five since I made them a few hours ago, I am going to be sick to my stomach if I don't stop!)

4. btw,about the chocolate...
if you want to add it, just melt chocolate with sugar and mix in the batter (the ratio is one ounce of choc. to 1/4 cup sugar until you get the amt you want to add) I also added some vanilla and milk to my chocolate to take some of the grittiness out, but that was eyeballed.

oh, an i did it double boiler style, but without a dble boiler, cause I don't have one!

12. I'll run next door and get some more
I don't think i have ever mentioned here that I live very very close to a bakery. 4am is the best time to smell fresh donuts from your front porch! and the bread is usually going around this time, I will run over there and see what they have for me!

7. Oh no....I didn't know there were cookies.
I just had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for breakfast.
Mmmmm....chunky peanut butter....

But there's always room for cookies. I'll have one, they sound delish.

20. not often, but I have done it.
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 11:17 AM by fleabert
it's so much work!!! and hard work at that!

I really like to make cakes and casseroles from scratch. Just feels more like 'cooking' to me. I make dinner and it doesn't even feel like I created anything, just heated stuff up really.

feels good to create sometimes.

23. Yummy! I bet the chocolate ones are delicious dipped in coffee!
Are the lighter ones peanut butter?

Have you ever mixed coffee in with them? Sometimes I mix 2 Tbsp of coffee crystals with a Tbsp hot water and mix that in. I love that with chocolate.

like a reese's cookie!

I haven't tried the coffee bit, but saw it in my cookbook when I was looking for this recipe! I was intrigued, and now I will have to try it, thanks for the reccomedation.
