I just made a decision
I hadnt planned originally on going to the homecoming dance because I thought I couldnt get a date so whats the purpose. Well I found out my friend became a homecoming king which is cool, so although I wont find a girl to go with chances are. I think I am gonna go to the dance anyhow. Who knows I may meet some new and nice people and hopefully there will be an afterparty. So I think I am gonna have a good weekend. :hi: everyone, I know its irrelevant but you know I havent been ever, and I wanna have some fun you know.

1. That's a sound decision. Go and have some fun.
I myself was never one to attend HS functions, especially during my Jr. & Sr. year, but I kinda wish I had.

And I don't think your posts are irrelevant. In fact, I'd use the word "insightful".

Have a great weekend.

15. You don't need a "crush" to get a date
Do you have any female friends you can ask? Going with a friend can be great because it removes the pressure of having to be "romantic."

Sometimes you can be surprised. In fact, it's probably better if you don't have one, cause then you aren't disappointed either way.

9. Some un asked for advice from a foggie
Go take some dance lessons.

Dude, I cannot stress this enough. Go learn to dance.

If there are two things I have learned women want more in a man is the ability to dance and cook.

I am not shitting you. I mean this from the bottom of my heart.

You will get laid more often and by prettier women if you go get dance lessons.

Forgive me if this sounds crude or crass but let's face it, it's true.

But dancing, not so much.
Maybe the fact that I'm a horrible klutz has something to do with it, but a good dancer does nothing for me, really.

Your mileage may vary, I suppose.

Oh, and do have fun at the dance!

57. I'll second that
John, my husband FOOLEd me into thinking he liked to go out dancing and invited me out on our first date (he knew I loved to salsa). We hitched up that night and have scarcely gone dancing since (we've been together 10 years). He does cook though, when he has time and if I do all the thinking and planning part. Come to think of it, he was shy too and I had to be the one to follow him on campus and ask him to coffee.

Anyway, I went to my prom junior year, but was a shy nerd and didn't ever go to homecoming or anything. I went with an exchange student and we had fun observing the "natives." If you can find a platonic friend to ask, don't be shy.

You don't have to hang out with your shortie for the whole night... you can just chill and mack it with lots of girls. :D

And if that fails, you can always pull a stage dive off the DJ table and not worry about embarassing your date... hehehe

keep it fresh and have some fun!

Why don't you look around for the shyest girl you can find? You know there are dozens of girls who really want to go to the dance. Girls who are more shy than you are! You'll have something in common -- something to laugh about. It could turn out very well.

If I just didn't live in a galaxy far far away, then I'd probably be! lol ;-)

But seriously, while at the party hang out with your friends - there's no problem with that. Then if you feel confident, ask a lady friend to dance with you. (Practice those moves first at home!) Some girls may be lurking from behind.. you'll never know! One tip: Have charm and grace.. that's very important in gatherings.

Enjoy and have a nice weekend! :-)
