Poll question: Best comic book villain?
Who is the best comic book villain? And no fair jumping on me for my lack of knowledge about more obscure ones; keep in mind that there are really only nine slots for choices.

I'd go with The Joker myself. I have a soft spot for evil-clown psychopaths :)

3. Why I pick Lex Luthor as my all-time favorite...
Edited on Mon Jul-07-03 09:37 AM by Dr Fate
Because he has BALLS bigger than churchbells!!!

Not a power to his name(except intellect) and yet HE, a mere human being "almost" kills the Man of Steel every time!!! Superman has all those powers, yet Lex almost gets the best of him everytime they clash.

He is really an inspiring character, if you look at him that way...

15. Lex Luthor! The Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time!
This is how it ends for the greatest criminal mind of our time. Not with a whimper, not with a bang. How do they choose to reward Lex Luthor, the greatest genius in this world? Do they give him glory? Do they give him treasure? What matter fact do they give him?

Guard: Life plus twenty, Luthor! Get to work.

5. Kingpin is excellent...
but my favorite has to be a tie between two villians in a semi-obscure book called "Preacher" by Garth Ennis. Herr Starr and the Saint of Killers are the two most diabolical characters I have ever read.

14. Yup.
Did you ever see the cross over between DC and Image comics? that was a wanna B infinity series and it made the Infinty crusade look Golden.

BTW - Image comics were awesome.

17. Galactus
not a villan in the strictest sense...unless he changed since I last read comics (like 10 years ago) but he had to eat planets to survive. He gave us the silver surfer too, who was one of my favorite heroes. Cant believe Venom isnt on that list though.

22. Technically, Juggernaut is a good guy now too
But he's been such an adversary of nearly everyone in the Marvel universe for so long that I figured he should be on there.

I love Venom, too, but cuts had to be made...

See? I don't always argue with ya! :D

Actually, I liked solving the Riddlers riddles, but he never had the cool and warped humor of the Joker.
