Poll question: Best Pavement Album?
Thanks to Section 43 for giving me the idea for this poll. Pavement was, without a doubt, the best indie band of the 90s. Malkmus is a damn genius.

1. Thanks, SZJ!
I agree, Malk is a genius!

I picked Slanted & Enchanted

but I have a soft spot for the Westing collection and, especially, Watery, Domestic EP.

2. I love S&E, but Wowee Zowee is the sentimental favorite
As an overall album and debut, S&E is head and shoulders above all their other albums, but Wowee Zowee and I have a history, as it was one of the first "indie" albums I'd ever listened to, and I fell in love with it and realized just how much I'd been missing out on. Wowee Zowee, Surfer Rosa, and Camper Van's Telephone Free Landslide Victory are my own personal indie rock holy trinity.

3. A Camper fan!!!!!!!!!
One of the most overlooked of their era. Genius. Every member.

My intro into college rock was abt '84: CVB, REM, Dream Syndicate, X, Green on Red, Dinosaur (before they were Jr.), Meat Puppets, Gun Club.

Wow, I tear up thinking abt what a great musical time that was.

What a lull before the storm.

Pavement, Stereolab, The Residents, Negativland, Throbbing Gristle, VU boots - soundtrack to the decade

5. I recently burned my Pavement vinyl on to CDR
I can't get over how great Gary Young was.

I can't get over how much you can hear, then miss, Gary Young between Watery Domestic (and Trigger Cut B-sides) and Crooked Rain.

BTW, Malkmus is (finally) back on track with the new album Pig Lib.
