Best way to kill bugs? (no wussies!)
Many bugs, especially spiders, I try to scoop up and throw outside. But my girlfriend has a MAJOR aversion to them, and she gets angry at me when I don't kill them. On top of that, a lot of bugs just aren't even worth the effort, or impossible to get out there (here I'm thinking of ANTS- damn I hate them).

Anyway, you got any creative ways of killing 'em? Any rituals or superstitions or anything?

2. We have surprisingly few spider/cobweb problems here in IL,
but I usually used a broom for that back in California. Vacuum every once in awhile. Still tried to avoid the spiders. :)

Don't know why, but I like those guys (cept for the really nasty looking or poisonous ones).

6. Vacuuming works great for house flies and mosquitos
I rarely have any because my cats catch flies and the spiders I allow to live in my home catch mosquitos.

8. LOL yeah we have four cats, and one's a great...
uh...bugger. :P

She takes 'em down right out of the air, even jumping. Pretty impressive to watch.

3. Should you be in a relationship with someone who insists on killing
Innocent animals? ;-)

Seriously, I refuse to kill spiders too. I think it's a sign of good character that you throw them outside alive.

As far as ants go, I usually wipe them out with 409. It kills them fast and cleans up their scent trail very well.

7. She's just deathly afraid of them.
Like, "freak-out" afraid of them.

Like I said, though, I usually don't kill the spiders or anything that I can fairly easily get outside.

9. Windex seems to work.
Also, I like to set up little ambushes for the ants, spill a bit of juice or soda on some hard surface, find out where they're coming from and hit them at the source then work my way back up to the spill.

10. If the spiders are small,
leave them as they eat the other bugs.

11. Geckos
They eat bugs. But when they get in the house, my dogs eat them.

15. One word.
Terro. Boron-based liquid in little containers that they carry back into the nest which poisons it.

17. I try to escort bugs out of my house including wasps.
Ants are impossible and I get ant traps. I guess out of sight killing out of mind?

18. I give props to spiders, and save them whenever possbile, BUT
any other bugs - time and space permitting get the old can of WD-40 and a cigarrette lighter }(
