1. Flames and chrome will never go out of style
That one is especially unique....I like it.
Look good on a fender.

2. I love a good fractal
... and this is a beauty. What program did you use? It has an Apophysis look to it - highly and stylishly modified of course. Nice work.

3. KPT 5 FraxFlame
from within Photoshop 5.5. Also some other KPT filters to enhance it.

I've been refining this style for a couple years now-- so far no one else has duplicated it (to my knowledge). If they do, more power to 'em- I'm sick to death of endless muddy-dark spirals. Flames are WAY more organic.

Fraxflame is one I've always wanted to try.

I have KPT's Fraxplorer that came with Painter 6, but found it too predictable after a while. Last year I found Fractal Explorer - it's almost up there with UltraFractal for fascination and complexity, but with the added benefit of being free.

Apophysis (also free) produces flame-type things, but in their natural state they're rather too misty and yeah, muddy, for my taste and vaguely reminiscent of phlegm suspended in liquid. Urk. However, you've made me think I should give it one more go before I uninstall and try some serious postwork on what it spits out.
