Where are you? It's supposed to get cold here in Texas later in the week, but not THAT damned cold!

Edit: I just checked the weather. Highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's here.

4. Beautiful, sunny Fargo, North Dakota.
First margarita is on the house to all tourists.

Catch some parasailing, surfing, nude night-clubbing, or check out our new giant dolphin lagoon, the largest in the world!!!

9. My first thought was where does he live, Fargo?
The coldest it's going to be here is +26. I had been complaining about that, but not now. :P

14. You have to take it in context.
It was 80 here today! My blood doesn't even get a chance to adjust to Texas weather and boom it's changing.

17. Aaaah, Fargo.
I lived there for many years. Nothing like walking across the parking lot at West Acres on a windy January night to get your heart pumping.

I used to think it got cold in Fargo until I move to Grand Forks. Now THAT'S cold.

Now I'm in central MN...over in the banana belt...the tropics.

2. Makes us enjoy summer more
that way we do not complain when it gets that cold.

Northwest MN has been below zero for much of the past 3-4 weeks. -20 to -35 lows are nothing for them, though there will be a nice ground blizzard there. The snirt will blow and you will have a hard time seeing the end of your car hood.

6. This is the same fucking shit we saw last January.
Last time, my car completely died during that week. Had to sell it for scrap. Let's pray that doesn't happen to my new car.

11. NW MN/E ND in January = Cold
What do you expect? 80's and a mosquito outbreak? This will probably be the worst of the year because the sun is getting higher all the time and all cold air masses will moderate more as winter and spring goes on.

This air mass is similar to what we got in August when highs were in the 50's. August versus January is a huge swing as to what is actually outside.

12. When I was a little kid growing up here, I never remembered it this cold.
I remembered quite a few single-digit below-zero days, but never days with the high in the -20's. I lived here for the entire first half of my life, yet this is not something I'm used to.

Imagine a transplanted Floridian or Californian walking in -20 degree Fargo weather, and all of a sudden he's like, "WTF is happening to my nose???!!!"

16. Funny enough watching the kids in single-A baseball who come up from
PR and Costa Rica. The summers in Helena are colder than they had ever dealt with in winter.

13. Hey there, SmileyBoy from eastern Montana, or WEST Dakota
as some of the locals call this place. Am planning a lovely time in a hot bath when the winds kick in. Got me some good music and a book by Jimmy Buffet. Book is about a Wyoming cowboy who runs away to adventure in the Gulf of Mexico!

Think I'll wear my straw hat and one of the Hawaiian shirts I made Havocdad, toss some cat litter on the floor, blare the beach boys and Jimmy Buffet, whip up some rum drinks in the blender and have a beach party. Got eight tons of coal for the furnace and beach scenes on Webshots!

15. Coldest I had to deal with was in western Montana. Air temp was -52
and the wind was howling outta the northwest. Walked to work at 5:45 AM, looking through the gaps between stitches in the knit muffler I had wrapped around my whole face and topped with a USAF artic survival parka. OK, that particular day, I actually lost my sense of humor for about an hour.

Was living in an old 8x54 foot trailer with 3 thick inch walls at the time. One morning, my dog's fur was stuck to the frost on the wall by the bed.

Gads, I love my toasty little house now! LOL

Don't do it in Kelvin though, unless you want to feel better:

19. It's predicted to get down to -19f in Kalispell thurs night...
...of course we usually don't get much wind with our sub-zero temp on this side of the divide.
