Poll question: Serious Linux bug!
According to Pavel Machek, he has discovered a serious bug in the 2.4 kernel. On January 1st, 9,223,372,034,708,485,227, every single computer running the 2.4 kernels will stop processing commands!

1. Hah!!!!
No need to worry, I got 2.6 kernel, so I don't have to worry about any of that till the cold death of the Universe.

2. Me too. And 2.2 on one of my Ataris, so I'm safe, no 2.4 kernels anywhere

4. Sounds like a good reason to go to 2.6
Oh, wait, maybe I'll have time to go to 2.8 if I'm lucky.

9. The other guy ...

The one who thought it might actually be useful to let us know that a few trillion years from now, our copies of Linux might not work.

12. I predict the silcon in the chips will decay to something else
long before that happens.
Still, I am glad I have 2.6.... TLP might be up to 3.0 before that, but then, maybe not.
