Down with the moral majority. 'Cause I want to be the minority...
I love Green Day. :7

I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority

I pledge allegiance to the underworld
One nation under dog
There of which I stand alone
A face in the crowd
Unsung, against the mold
Without a doubt
Singled out
The only way I know

I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority

Stepped out of the line
Like a sheep runs from the herd
Marching out of time
To my own beat now
The only way I know

One light, one mind
Flashing in the dark
Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts
"For crying out loud" she screamed unto me
A free for all
Fuck 'em all
You are your own sight

I want to be the minority
I don't need your authority
Down with the moral majority
'Cause I want to be the minority

1. I remember in Jr. High when their Dookie album blew up
Glad to see those guys are still around 10 years later.

5. green day...
I remember when that song came out. I can't remember how old I was, but I really liked it. I always was such a little rebel!;)
Their American Idiot album is really great too! Personally, I like "Holiday" a good anti-* song!!!! :D

9. because:
as far as anti-Bush lyrics go, its quite inane and the guitar hook was stolen from a Dillinger Four song

10. i don't think it was meant to be specifically an anti bush song...
just about the general state our nation is in, where ignorance seems to reign.

And where ignorance seems to rule, so do repukes.

11. listen to the song
by Dillinger Four called "Doublewhiskeycokenoice" and listen to how exactly the same the guitar hook sounds. I love Green Day, but American Idiot is not exactly a good song... it was put on there because it was the poppy single they could use to sell the CD, which I might say again, is awesome- Holiday is the best song, followed closely by Homecoming.

13. true, though I've never head that other song...
that you mentioned. But American Idiot is a great CD, I can't think of a song on there I don't like. But I am starting to get sick of Blvd of Broken Dreams because the radio stations are killing it. Which is unfortunate since that was one of my favorites.
