Robbery suspect may consider getting a spare set of car keys made
12/27/04 - LAKE STATION, IN) — Locking your keys in the car is always an inconvenience -- especially when they're the keys to your getaway car.

Police in Lake Station, Indiana, say Dan Griggs locked his keys in his car while he was robbing a convenience store. But that wasn't the end of Griggs' troubles. The place he allegedly ripped off was right across the street from the police station.

Police dispatchers watched as Griggs used a broom to smash a window on his car. After a brief chase, police say Griggs crashed head-on into a patrol car. He's now being without bond on a robbery charge.
