7. yes
never heard anything bad about them and i supposed the best endorsement is they get thrown out of countries that want to hide the war crimes that are being committed

8. I donated $100 to them
Over in Freeperland, they were saying not to donate to DWB, because of its being a LeftWing organization. That made me sure I wanted to do it. I hope my donation makes a difference.

15. And why do FReepers hate Doctors Without Borders?
Because the Hippocratic Oath (modern) is - BY DESIGN - a liberal document/oath. Fuck them. No time for their ignorant, bigoted shite at this juncture.

By the way, everybody I know (I was an RN for 15 years) donated to DWB because they're simply WORTHY. Their actions over the years speaks for itself...nothing more to be said.

18. Weren't they founded in France, too?
I believe their real name is "Medecins Sans Frontières". Just goes to show you what greedy, money-obsessed assholes the Freepers are, if they aren't willing to help provide some relief to the victims of this terrible disaster.

13. BIASED
I guess I'm a little biased though. That's where I met my husband. We were both working for Doctors Without Borders in Rwanda. Seriously, I think they do good work.

21. I agree with everyone else.
We donated to them too. I have been hoping to volunteer for them, but I don't have any skills that they need (they specifically do NOT want veterinarians *sigh*).

22. That's who we decided to donate to, after some research.
They are doing a good job of updating their efforts on their front page too. I've been checking it periodically for updates.

They spend only what's absolutely necessary for administrative expenses, and most of what we donate appears to go for services and supplies. That's a good thing.
