1. I hope the frigid part is due to the weather! Is it?

I'm not going anywhere tonight... Just watching the tube and listening to airplanes flying over my house. A crappy night to be traveling.

Assuming there will be one in IT, but I digress.

"She'd , like any neo-con, would turn whole families into McSoylent Sandwiches if she'd profit from it..."

20. That's a suburb of the Twin Cities, right? Or at least, pretty damn close?
Is that the city with the Mall of America, or is it the one on the other side of the twin cities, toward WI? I'm thinking it's the latter - isn't there a big Woodbury factory outlet mall thingy for a bunch of stores?

21. Bloomington has the Maul of America... but, yep, Woodbury has its own
yuppie section. A real boom city. Unfortunately, with the number of bigger companies moving out and development of new identical twin yuppie housing being put on hold and foreclosure, it'll be bust soon enough.

29. The weird thing about Woodbury
is that almost everybody has a swimming pool. Flying low over Woodbury is fascinating, looking at all those huge McMansions and their 4-car garages and damn swimming pools. What kind of damn fool would install an outdoor swimming pool in freaking Minnesota? Republicans, maybe?

28. Absolute downpour here in Iowa this evening
Very weird for the first of January. At least it isn't snow, because then I would be spending my Sunday shoveling instead of laying around the house doing nothing productive.
