Any Foxfire fans here?

My stepfather had the whole series. I should get them from him and re-read them.

1. have the whole series at the cabin
They're more geared for Eastern forests than the Minnesota Boundary Waters, but they're a very useful resource anyway.

3. I had one of the books as a kid
It appealed to some romantic notion of what ideal life was about.

I guess that notion got lost somewhere along the way.

I do like the firefox browser though, so :toast:

4. Yes, my Dad is always re-telling something from the Foxfire books.
He enjoyed them immensely, as did my Mom.

Lots of fascinating information on how things used to be done back in the Appalachian hills. I think they used every single piece of a hog when it was killed.

5. Oh yeah
They also shared a lot of it. If someone was killing a hog everyone was invited to make sure nothing was wasted.
