Paint Shop Pro 9 - yea or nay?
It looks like it can clean up photo noise and remove, to an extent, the purple fringing in photos.

But does it have that product activation crap? That I consciously avoid, though I didn't realize Crossover Office also had that sort of activation. :-( (So I need to find a way to save the reg file, just in case they go under. Activation procedures are nice, tohugh you're dependant on the company to still EXIST. And those that will for any length of time also become increasingly hostile if one needs to reinstall the product (Microsoft, and I avoid them, and Adobe, and Macromedia these days. Sticking with my older versions, they're good enough.))
