Glad to explan the name: Spinkbottle is from PG Wodehouse. One of the characters in the Jeeves and Wooster stories is named Fink-Nottle, but Wooster's aunt mispronounces it as Spink-Bottle. For some reason, I found this hilarious, and it's stuck with me. You had to be there, I guess :-)

When dad died I just knew my brothers were in the same pain as me. Society or whatever didn't let us let loose.

We're all from a Scandanavian family and no public displays of emotion allowed. I've heard it described as "the ice in the stomach"
