Fun playing Robin Hood
Edited on Sat Sep-27-03 09:27 AM by wtmusic
Last week our babysitter, who is a very sweet German woman, shocked me with a phone call. She and her little girl were leaving her husband who had been abusing both of them for years. I had no idea--she was frantic, and because this clown had always taken all her money she was broke.

My wife and I put her up in a motel for two days then found some friends
for her to stay with until we found her a studio apartment. Then we got a restraining order and found an attorney who would help file divorce papers for next to nada.

Last night while the husband was out we sneaked into her old apartment and made away with her daughter's bed, her computer, a microwave, etc.--all stuff that was rightfully hers but he had refused to return.

Take that, you bastahd!

1. You must have a heart of gold but...
please watch your back, my friend. You have done a very noble thing.

2. Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen.
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men.
Feared by the bad,
Loved by the good,
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood.
Theme from the 60s TV show by the same name.
;-)

3. Thanks for being a good person.
It's people like you and your wife which strengthens the faith I have in people (although, on the other hand, your babysitter's husband weakens my faith... a constant tug of war).

Your babysitter (and espicially her daughter) have my prayers and you and your wife have my wishes for blessings... and lot's of them!

:)
