Poll question: How should I spend my pathetic New Year's Eve?
Here's the situation: I work both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day (9AM - 7PM both days). The ex-wife and my son are going to one of her relatives until at least 10PM New Year's Eve. I wanted to bring in the New Year with my son, especially this year, but I don't want to spend several awkward hours with my ex's relatives. I could wait at the ex's for them to come home, but that will be late. I have also been invited to my sister's, which would be easier but more lonely.

Help me decide what to do Dec. 31st, please. Happy New Years!

1. How about calling your son?
I frankly would not want to spend time with people I don't like. Why not stay at home, alone or with a friend and call your son. Your son might enjoy a call around midnight, where the two of you end up counting down to the New Year.

3. If you have to be at work the next day, you might as well stay home.
Personally, I don't like being on the road on New Year's Eve, too many party revelers driving. I agree with the earlier post that said to call your son.

6. You should ask your ex to drop your son off at your sister's
you could have the best of both worlds if she was willing.....

Good Luck!!!

7. Why can't you pick him up?
Pick him up at 10 at her relatives, go home, watch the Twilight Zone Marathon, drop him off home in the morning on the way to work.

Get a couple of bottles of cold Korbel and order up a hooker.
Or two if you have had a "Republican" kinda year!

Happy New Year!
