1. It's running the same film for 25 hours straight? Is that what you mean?
If so, then :wtf:

12. And a Merry Xmas to you too, my fellow radio geek!
I'm doing five hours on the air tonight because the guy who precedes me on the air wanted the holiday off. And I'm loving every second of it, y'all!!!

26. Iron Giant is a good leftist movie. I watched it with my kids and loved
it.

We've been through a few of those marathons.

17. makes sense
But, for xmas, the cable channels know they will lose a lot of people to no TV at all, football games, and new DVD's, Playstations, new computers, etc. It's a loss they can absorb, plus, a gimmick they can't resist. It just sounds cool to make it a 'tradition'. Truth be told, I could only watch it once, since I have been steeped in the story since mid-October.

9. It's a day off for (most) TBS employees.
And last night, the Ohio News Network ran a tape of a burning Yule log for 12 hours. Yes, I watched a good portion of it, too.

19. Now that reminds me
Of the woman who spotted me at the bank the other day and yelled that at me. :D

I realize just how much different the play is from the movie. In the play, I throw the rest of the food out the door, starting with the empty roasting pan... and lots of saucepans... and I yell... it was FUN! :D

14. I checked in occasionally, and eventually saw the whole film
over the course of 24 hours.

A Christmas Story is a bit like holiday candy - you pig out on it during the holiday season, and then don't eat it again for 11 months. Then, you pig out again...

Well, you watch A Christmas Story two or three times during the holiday season, and then you don't see it again for 11 months. It's a special, non-fattening treat. :D

Another network upped the stakes with a "triple dog dare."

23. Because TBS is run by sick, sadistic, evil motherfuckers.
That's why.

But this fucking holiday is just about over, so we'll be spared that nauseating piece of shit for another year.

28. I've had "Elf" on endless repeat in the DVD player for two days...
...so I've not gotten my yearly dose of "Christmas Story." But 48 hours of "Elf" is a LOT OF ELF.

"You really like sugar, don't you?"

"Does syrup have sugar in it?"

"Yes."

"Then...YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"
